Depart Miami International Airport on El Al flight LY102 at 3:30 pm

Monday March 24,008 - Shalom!
Shalom and welcome to Israel
Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport at 10:00 AM
Meet your tour educator
Ascend to Jerusalem
Pause at a vantage point overlooking the city to say Shehehianu
Head to the Jaffa Gate and walk the Old City Ramparts to the Zion Gate
Visit King David's Tomb
Enter the Old City through the Zion Gate and head to the Western Wall, for a spiritual visit.
Check into the hotel

Tuesday, March 25, 2008 - Jerusalem of Gold
Start the day with a visit to the Israel Museum to see the model of Jerusalem in the Second Temple Period and the Dead Sea Scrolls, housed in the dramatic Shrine of the Book
Enter the Old City and tour the Jewish Quarter including the Cardo (an ancient market street, still in use today), the Broad Wall, the Burnt House and the Southern Wall Excavations.
Explore the Western Wall Tunnels, stretching under the Old City (Subject to confirmation)
Overnight: Jerusalem

Wednesday, March 26, 2008 - Jerusalem divided and reunited
Start the day with a tour of the Seam Lime where Jerusalem was divided between 1948 and 1967.
Then tour Ammunition Hill and hear about the Battle for Jerusalem
In the afternoon, head to the Sataf Springs for a nature walk.
Pause at the Harel Mall for a chance to taste kosher McDonalds, KFC and Pizza Hut.

Thursday, March 27, 2008 - Dig those Bedouins
Depart Jerusalem and drive to Tel Maresha to participate in an archeological dig!
On your way stop at Tel Azeka and view Ha'Ella Valley, battle ground of David and Goliath.
Explore the bell shaped caves at Beit Guvrin
Head south for a Camel Trek in the Negev desert.
Enjoy a Hafla (feast) in a Bedouin Tent
Overnight: Bedouin Tent in the desert

Friday, March 28, 2008 - Way down south...
Climb Massada via the Roman Ramp to see the sunrise.
Tour the site and descend via the Snake Path.
Enjoy a chance to swim (float) in the Dead Sea and stop at Ein Gedi for a short Nature walk.
Head south to Eilat

Begin the day with a visit to the famous Underwater Observatory toi let the marine wildlife get a glimpse of you.
Then a short nature hike in the Red Canyon
Head north to Mitzpe Ramon for a view of the Ramon Crater
Pause at Ben Gurion's Gravesite and discuss his dream of turning the desert green
Onward to Tel Aviv

Monday, March 31, 2008 - Echoes of Independence
Start the day with a visit to Independence Hall, where the State of Israel was born
Depart Tel Aviv and drive north to the site of Atlit British Prison Camp where "illegal" Jewish immigrants were kept after trying to enter Israel.
Hike up the Carmel Mountain following the Atlit prisoners escape route and visit the Pre-Historic cave of Ha'Etzba.
Visit the Druze Village of Ossafia for lunch and to learn about this unique ethnic group.
Drive across the Galilee to the Kinneret
Enjoy some leisure time at the beach of the Sea of Galilee
Overnight: Sea of Galilee

Tuesday, April 1, 2008 - The beautiful Golan
Ascend the Golan Heights and view deep into Syria and on the Ghost Town of Kuneitra from Mount Bental.
Visit the Talmudic Synagogue in Katzrin (8th Century)
Pause at Mitzpe Gadot to view the Hula Valley and to hear about Israel's master spy, Eli Cohen
Visit a military outpost and meet the soldiers there
Enjoy a kayaking experience on one of Jordan River's tributaries.
Overnight: Sea of Galilee

Wednesday, April 2, 2008 - Mystical Zfat, and the Galilee
Start the day by descending the Arbel Cliffs
Then head to Zfat - City of Mystical Judaism (Kabbalah). Explore narrow alleyways lined with ancient synagogues and artists' galleries.
Head to the Yigal Alon House at Kibbutz Ginosar for a program
In the evening, sail on the Sea of Galilee

Thursday, April 3, 2008 - Views and friends
Drive to Rosh Hanikra and view the caves carved by sea
Then to Akko, to tour the Knights' Halls, built by the Crusaders and the underground escape passage.
View Haifa and the magnificent Bahai Gardens from atop Mt. Carmel
Meet up with friends in Or Akiva for a mifgash session and then head to Ra'anana for a program at Beit Issei Shapiro
Say goodbye to your Israeli friends and ascend to Jerusalem
Overnight: Jerusalem

Friday, April 4, 2008 - Remembrance and Shabbat
Visit Yad Vashem for a program on the Holocaust including the new Museum and the various monuments
Visit Mount Herzl, the site of the state of the art Herzl museum (pending confirmation) and military cemetery. Visit the final resting sites of Herzl, Rabin and other Israeli dignitaries along with the graves of Israel's soldiers and learn how the Jewish State honors their fallen.
