Monday, April 23, 2007 Yom HaZicharon and Erev Yom Ha'atzmaut Depart Haifa and drive to Or Akiva. After a short ice-breaking activity participate in Yom HaZicharon Program with Or Akiva peers. Hear the sirens sound in memory of the fallen Israelis during Israel's numerous battles. Following the ceremony and together with Or Akiva peers, visit the Druze Village of Ossafia for lunch and to learn about this unique ethnic group. After lunch visit the site of Atlit British Prison Camp where "illegal" Jewish immigrants were kept after trying to enter Israel. Hike up the Carmel Mountain following the Atlit prisoners escape route and visit the Pre-Historic cave of Ha'Etzba.
