| Monday, April 26, 2004 | | Memorial Day in Israel | Shalom!
Today is Memorial Day for the Fallen in Israel’s Wars. It comes the day before Independence Day, so that we never forget at what cost the State of Israel exists.
The group spent a very intense day yesterday, recreating those unique hours in 1948 when David Ben Gurion announced the establishment of the State of Israel when they visited Independence Hall.
Then they went to Rabin Square to remember and speak of Peace.
In the evening, the group participated in the moving ceremony marking Memorial Day at the Naval Training Base, with Israeli sailors.
All together, a day full of emotions.
This evening, as the stars come out, sorrow is replaced with joy as we begin to celebrate Independence Day.

| Friday, April 23, 2004 | | Shabbat Shalom! | Shalom
The group is doing great. They arrived in Israel, said Shehehianu overlooking Jerusalem, toured the Old City, participated in an archeological dig, rode camel and spent the night in a Bedouin Tent. Today they climbed Massada and floated in the Dead Sea.
The group made their way to Kiryat Malachi and the participants are now enjoying Shabbat with their host families.
Keep visiting our web site to see more pictures and hear from the group again soon.
Wishing you a Shabbat Shalom from Israel.

We wanted to tell you that the group arrived safely at Ben Gurion Airport, where I met them with a big "Shalom"! Everyone was very excited to be in Israel and are looking forward to the upcoming trip.
Please be sure to stop back and visit the website, where we will post pictures and notes from the group so you can tour along with them "virtually"
Shalom
